Belated Flower Fan Pop Up

At least once a year I feel the need to make a black and white with a pop of colour card. And every time I try to chose a different colour. I’m not sure why it took me so long to make a pop of teal, because teal is my favourite colour. I needed a special card for my niece and didn’t know at the time that teal is her favourite colour too. I also wanted to use the new Photo Fan Pop-up on a Birthday card as I have only made Christmas cards so far.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

I decided on a 5”x7” and cut the card base as shown below. I went through my stash of black and white patterned paper (long retired Creative Memories) I chose the piece shown as a layer.

I sponged the edges as shown and added to the front and inside.

I cut black layers as shown and add them over the previous layers.

I chose these next patterns for the inside and sponged it with teal as shown. and added them to the inside.

I die cut the Photo Fan Pop-up from black, and the layers from a matching pattern. Sponged the edges with teal and added it to the card. (Karen has a video tutorial on the product page at the link ⬆️ )

When I diecut flowers I always diecut extra so I have some on hand. I will list them at the bottom. I pulled out all the teal and white. I added shading with a Versa Mark Marker, and highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen. I also added some shading with old Stampin up alcohol markers. I cut squares from matching papers, I added the flowers to the squares then to the card as shown.

I stamped the inside message using the Birthday/Belated stamp set. And added some itty bitty gems.

I found this fun piece of paper, and sponged the edges. I diecut a half of a circle to use as a mask to sponge around the circle on the front of the paper to highlight the edges. I added Happy Birthday and “belated” from the same stamp set I used above. I added it to the card front and then added some flowers and gems.
