Slim Line Paper Frames And Flowers

Wow, it seems like forever since I’ve posted, so sorry but I’ve had so much going on, but I’m back and planning on a few posts in the coming weeks to make up for my absence. This card I made by request, I have a customer who wanted a card for her sister. I really liked how my Label Challenge card turned out so decided to use the same layout but switch up the colours. And this is what I came up with.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

So I totally forgot the actually dimensions and since I already gave this card away I’m posting what I’m pretty sure I did. Lol. The card will turn out even if the dimensions are slightly off.

1A- cut the panels as shown from green cardstock, and I cut a piece to connect the 2 panels together. Typically I would have one panel about 1” longer than the other then connect them but I forgot as I was cutting. Connect the panels together, making a side fold card.

B- cut the yellow panels as shown. Add to the front, back and inside as shown.

2- I cut the patterned paper panels as shown and added to the front and inside.

3A- die cut the Paper Frames mechanism and add to the card (Karen has a video tutorial on the product page at the link ⬆️ )

B- using the labels from the paper frames and the Labels Crosshatch , die cut from white and yellow cardstock and layer as shown.

4A- I was in a bit of a time crunch so I decided to go through my flower diecuts from my left overs from other projects ( I sort them by colour in a these plastic containers)

B- I didn’t have leaves in the right shade of green so I diecut some from Autumn Elements , Flower Pot Pop Up and Fun Flowers (most of the flowers used are from these sets as well) I added shading with a Versa Mark Marker, and highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen

C-die cut Happy Birthday and add shading and highlights

5A- add all the elements as shown

B- I added some little gems randomly through out the card.
