Touch of Gold Get Well Soon

Yay I got to play Craft Roulette this week and and I really love how this card turned out. I wanted to make a pretty card for a young lady who will be recovering from a surgery and I hope this card cheers her up.

Here are this weeks parameters ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

This is how I worked in the parameters. The borders are all side pockets with ribbon peaking out, I also have a gift card pocket on the back. To me spring colours scream fresh and clean Rhymes with “ool” is Jewel and I have them sprinkled throughout the card. I used a brick embossing folder sideways to make columns in the background.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

I have had a lot of comments of people thanking me for posting my mistakes and how I fixed them, so I have decided to keep doing that. Lol this card started with a mistake 🤦🏻‍♀️

1A- I cut 2 panels the same size for the card base. I should have had one and inch longer with a score line at the inch Mark to join the 2 halves together. The white panels are correct.

B- I grabbed a strip of extra cardstock, it’s about 3/4” by 4” and used it to connect the 2 card base panels

2A- I used an older Sizzix Brick embossing folder sideways to make the columns. It wasn’t long enough to do the entire panel so I made sure the unembossed ends were on the left for the front, back, and inside left, and on the right for the inside right.

3A- I cut the teal panels as shown, I wanted them a little darker so I used Versa Mark ink along the edges.

B- cut the flower panel as shown. It is a Carta Bella paper from my stash.

C- layer as shown and add to the front back and inside as shown (front and back look the same)

4- I diecut the pop up piece of the Paper Frames and added it to the card. (Karen has a video tutorial on the product page at the link ⬆️ )

5A- I diecut some of the labels from the Paper Frames, and I added Versa Mark to the teal labels

B- from gold mirror cardstock I diecut “Thinking of You” from Wordset 10- Thinking of you and “Get Well Soon” from Get Well Charms

C- I used a die from the Labels Crosshatch for the large Teal label and the White is from the Paperframes set. I used stickers and I fussy cut flowers from the same Carta Bella paper kit. I also used some gold thread and jewels from my stash.

6A- boo boo #2 is that when I glued down my borders I glued the pockets shut. So I had to use a pick tool to open up the pocket.

B- I used banner stickers, ribbon and gold thread and tucked them in the pockets. On the right side I only tucked in half the pocket.

7A- die cut the message block. Dimensions below.

B- fussy cut some flowers and add to the block and add to the card on the right side.

8A- to make the pocket for the gift cards cut from the dimensions below.

B- add foam adhesive around the bottom and sides

C- fussy cut flowers and add to the card.

9- even though I was adding as I went along and they show up in the photos here are some close ups of my Clear Jewels, I also used a gold pen and added dots to the patterned paper pieces
