Double Easter Bunny cards- April designer challenge

Easter is just around the corner, so when Karen announced that the April Designer Challenge was to have a card with a “Bunny” on it, it was kind of a no brainer. This card has an Easter Bunny on the outside and a chocolate bunny on the inside. This is my take on a CARD that Karen Burniston made a couple of years ago. For those of you that know me, you know why I need 2 👧🏼👧🏼

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

Karen has VIDEO directions on this card, and I have photos below…

1- card base is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4, I cut 4 panels using the Rectangles Crosshatch, I cut out the centers of 3, not of necessaty just to save cardstock (I’m cheap lol)

2- add the panels to the card base. The photo on the left is the front and back, the photo on the right is the inside.

3- using a smaller due from the Rectangles Crosshatch I started cutting the pink patterned paper. I also cut out a brown border from the Border Blends Party and added all the panels to the card.

4- die cut the pieces to the Woven Basket and weave to bother as shown.

5- die cut the bottom of the cup mechanism and the 2 napkin pieces from the Coffee Cup Pop up, trim the 2 tabs off the coffee cup mechanism

6- add the 2 tabs to the inside if the basket, close the basket, add to the napkin pieces and add to the card. This is shown in great detail on Karens Video (linked above)

7- die cut and assemble the pieces shown from the Easter Charms. I also cut some plastic strips.

8- start to decorate, I added the chocolate bunny to the stick first to give it some height.

9- I die cut the names using the Mini Alphabet and Numbers set, I added the letters to some of the clear sticks, I also added a faux bow.

10- I die cut labels from the Rectangles and Labels Crosshatch from brown and the same cream colour as the basket, and Happy Easter from the Easter Charms

11- I die cut and assembled the rabbit from the Spring Animals dieset. I diecut the streamers and the little hearts from the Border Blends Trims for filler, and added them to the card.
