Today I have a monochromatic super easy card to create. The centre image and greeting can be changed to suit any occasion and the colours can also be changed to match a mood or theme. If I remember correctly this card was inspired by one I saw online but I can’t remember from where.

All the supplies used for this card are from Stampin’ Up, the cardstock colours I used are Soft Suede and Very Vanilla. The Designer paper is in Very Vanilla and Soft Suede and unfortunately, it is retired (but check your stash for colours and patterns that work well together).

The card base is in Soft Suede and it is 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″. On top of the card base, I centred a piece of Very Vanilla 4″ x 5 1/4″ cardstock. I sponged Soft Suede ink along the edges of the cardstock.

Next, I cut 4 pieces of patterned paper in 4 different patterns in 1 3/4″ x 2 1/2″ rectangles. I took a corner punch and punched 2 of the four corners, opposite of each other on all 4 of the patterned pieces. I sponged Soft Suede ink around all the patterned paper pieces and adhered them to the Very Vanilla cardstock with the pointed corners of the patterned paper pointing to the four corners of the card.

I stamped the sailboat image on to a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock that had been cut at 2 3/4″ x 3 1/4″, I used Soft Suede ink to stamp the image and sponged the edges. I then matted it onto a piece of 3″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Soft Suede cardstock.

Last but not least I stamped “Celebrate You” with You guessed it Soft Suede ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and punched it out with a word window punch. I matted the greeting onto a punched out piece of Soft Suede cardstock. I believe the punch name is Modern label. I used Stampin Dementionals to add the greeting to the card.
