Sand Toys on the Beach

At first I wasn’t sure what I was going to do for this month’s Karen Burniston design team challenge. Karens challenge to us is “Lake or Ocean”. Well as some of you know I grew up in a town that is on the shores of Lake Huron, so I knew I wanted to lean towards lake. I also knew I wanted to do something a little different than what I’ve previously done, or else would it really be a challenge 🤷🏻‍♀️ So I thought for a bit, what else can you do at the beach and then it hit me… play with sand toys. And this is what I came up with.

Poppin Pink – January Design team challenge

Happy New Year, and for my first post of the year I will be sharing my design team challenge card. This months challenge was to create a card using dies from the “First 100 dies” so dies from 1001 to 1100 on the Karen Burniston Website. I decide to use the Katherine Label Pop up and coincidentally it is the first time I’ve used it.

Haunted Castle- October Design Team Challenge

Ooohhhhh it’s that time of year, and as we are gearing up for Halloween we have a Halloween themed challenge for the October Karen Burniston Design team monthly challenge. Our challenge was to have at least one Jack-o-Lateran on our cards. I have a few, but I also decided to make one of them the closure for my card 🎃

Wedding Wishes- June designer challenge

It’s the the first Tuesday in June so you know what that means, It’s Karen Burnistons Design Team challenge. This months challenge is to make either a “Wedding or Baby” card. I had decided to make a wedding card, but for some reason I was drawn to these colours, possibly because I just bought this paper pack at Michaels lol. So I guess with a swap of charms and greeting this could easily become a baby card, or a gender reveal card.

Love you more than ice cream -February designer Challenge

Its that time again, it’s time for the February Karen Burniston designers challenge. This months challenge is all about Love. We were given the option of a Valentine, wedding or anniversary card. I decided to go with a Valentine. When making a Valentine for my hubby I try to stay a way from pink, I found this purple and blue striped paper from my stash so I went with it. Ice cream is our guilty pleasure so I thought it would be fun to use the Ice-cream sundae pop-up dieset.
