For my card I decide to use the NEW Photo Fan 4 times to make a snowy blizzard. And the new Merry Christmas Lorna Add On for the front.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

I cut the card base and panels as shown. 4 of the white, and 3 of the holographic patterned paper. Add the panels to the cardbase.

I started by diecutting 2 of the Photo Fan mechanisms but I ended up using 4. I diecut the pieces of the holographic pieces and attached the first set of mechanisms as shown. Karen will have a tutorial posted soon at the link ⬆️

I marked the middle and then added the other 2 mechanisms, and they meet in the middle. The card just closes. If I were doing this again I would put at least a 1/2” space between the 2 in the middle.

I diecut snowflakes from multiple sets (I add will list of the current sets that have snowflakes at the bottom) I cut from white, silver mirror, and silver glitter. I wanted the snowflakes to have some dimension so on some of them I layered and the bent up sections from the top snowflake.

You may have noticed that I have a small tear in my patterned paper, so I thought I’d try to patched it but it was hard with the pattern so it was still noticeable. I took a large snowflake and cut a slit in it and slid it so the snowflake was straddling where the mechanism attaches to the card.

I added snowflakes to the arms of the mechanism and the back of the card. Opening and closing the card to watch for catch points.

I dug out some itty bitty sequins and gems, then added them randomly around the card. I layered a couple of labels from the Lorna Label set to make a place to sign and I added some bling to it too.

I assembled just the label part of the Merry Christmas Lorna Add on.

I cut a border to- Blue piece 4 3/4” x 1 1/2”, white piece 4 1/2” x 1 1/4” and layered them. I added the snowflake border from the Long Nature Edges 2. I cut it from silver mirror cardstock and added glitter snowflakes over some of them. I added some bling here too.

  1. Hi Nicky. Your card is absolutely stunning. I love that you placed two of the fan sections on both sides so you can expand those beautiful holographic snowflakes in every direction. I am always inspired by your projects. Have a wonderful day! tinagilmore86@gmail.com

  2. beautiful card. I imagine it took a bit of time, but worth it for the amazing card. I love the different snowflakes size and paper used.
I couldn’t find it on Facebook, but liked the additional inspiration for Karen’s dies that was there. I did find it in instagram.

  3. What a beautiful card! And my entire family knows that I don’t like one thing about snow. Wouldn’t they be surprised if I mad them one of these, and I am thinking on it.
