Baby Boy Oilers card

Your probably looking at this colour combo and wondering what was she thinking. Well, my husband doesn’t ask me very often so when he does I can’t say no. He is incredibly supportive of my crafting/blogging journey so when he asked me to make a baby card in Edmonton Oilers colours I cringed a bit but said I would. If your not familiar, the Edmonton Oilers are a Canadian Hockey Team.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

I don’t typically make 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” but I thought it would work well with the pop up I was planning on using. I cut the panels as shown and added them to the front back and inside of the the card base.

I diecut the pieces to the Little Twist Panel as shown I assembled the mechanism and added the panels. (Karen has a video tutorial on the product page at the link ⬆️ )

I added the banners from the same set, the streamers are from the Big Birthday Charms and all the baby pieces are from the Baby Charms. I also added the Rectangles Crosshatch for a place to sign. I added shading with a Versa Mark Marker, and highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen. I tried to make the onesie resemble the Oilers logo. It was hard to make it so small.

I created the greeting using Word set 17- Congratulations , Mini Alphabet and Numbers, Baby is from the Baby Charms. I added shading with a Versa Mark Marker, and highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen. I also added some little blue and silver sequins.
