Happy Mothers Day paper frames card

So I had fun on a Friday night lol, Karen Burniston was a guest on the Craft Roulette YouTube Live . The idea of Craft Roulette is the host Mary Gunn, spins a wheel 4 times, to get 4 parameters in which you must use to make your card. The parameters are -Project, Colors, Element, and Random. So nobody knows what kind of card they are making until after the wheel randomly chooses. Last nights parameters ended up being a 5” x 7” card, in Spring colours, Starts with “G” and “outside the lines” so my card ended up being a 5” x 7” card , with mostly pastel colours with a few pops, I have gnomes in a garden, and a little bit of glimmer (wink of Stella on butterflies and some sequins) and my “out side the lines” is that the gnomes are peeking over from outside the lines of the label shape, and some of my other elements hang over the lines of the mechanism. If you play along don’t forget to post your card on the Craft Roulette website . Here is my card

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

I have to say that it was fun making a card without stopping to take dozens of photos, I did take some….

1-5”x7“ card base as per the parameters

2- I used the Rectangles and Labels crosshatch to make the layers, and the Long Nature Edges to cut the grass

3- these layers make the card front

4- I used the Paper Frames to add a pop up feature ( click the product link to see Paper Frames assembly video)

5- cut layers for the Labels from the same Paper aframes set. The ones with the X I original cut from white but change to a different but matching cloud paper. Add to card as shown

I have to say I was making good time until I decided I want a few gnomes, and if I was cutting gnomes I might as well cut flowers and I thought since I was cutting flowers I might as well cut snails and mushrooms and a fairy……..and butterflies……

6- I diecut pieces from the Tiny Gnomes, and the Back Yard Charms and assembled. I added a little bit of white pen for highlight, to see what the butterflies have a little bit of wink of Stella, I added wink of Stella to the fairy wings as well (not shown in this photo)

7- I die cut Happy Mother’s Day, and added the all the elements that I could fit, I also added a few sequins.
