Blue Christmas C4C564- 5 different slimline cards 1 stamp set, 1 set up- PART 1

Hello, hello, hello, this is the first time I’ve done a multi part blog post but this is the only way I can continue posting semi regularly but still keep this idea that I had (as all 5 cards aren’t done yet 😜) work out. This idea started with this weeks Crazy4Challenges challenge which was to create a Christmas card with Blue in it, think Elvis’s “Blue Christmas” and I wanted to stamp and emboss Silver snowflakes. So I dug out my Stamping platform and was setting up and thought since it’s on the platform I might as well do more than one. So I did a few on watercolour paper and I did a few on vellum card stock and just knew I wanted to do them all different so an idea was born LOL. I’ve read a few comments from crafters this last few weeks about struggling to find different ideas on making different Christmas cards. Well this way you can use some of the same supplies but still come out with five different cards. (I will edit this post once I have all 5 cards posted so they are easier to find. I’m not sure if each card will gets it’s own post but will figure it out as I go)

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

All the cardstock with the exception of the Glitter cardstock is from Stampin Up. I listed the colours that I will be using for the five cards below. Today’s card used all the colours except Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda bay.

The stamping steps below, I used the same method for all 5 cards and I did them all at the same time ( why I’m doing a multi post blog)

This card is going to be a vertical slim line card, the mechanism I used is from Karen Burnistons Josh Daisy die set, I recommend watching her Tutorial Video as it is easier to follow. I only use one arm on my card and I only have the photos as a reference.

I wanted a longer arm so this is how I added the extension. If the card was a little wider I could have made the extension longer.

Adding the snow flakes was a bit tricky as they were easy to tangle. I ended up doubling up some of the snow flakes as the extra weight made them hang better. I used a very thin fishing line to add the hanging snowflakes.

The stamp set I used is retired Stamping Up, but use what you’ve got.
