We have another pretty one today, I originally designed this one to be a wedding card, but it can be used for any theme with just a change of the greeting. Believe it or not but the gold in the middle is actually hot glue see below for more details.
This style of card is called a Z fold card.
The cardstock used for this is from Stampin Up, as are the stamps and ink. The center focal point was created using Stampin Ups water colour paper, their reinkers, and gold embossing powder.
The technique used is the “Hot glue Embossing ” technique and it is pretty easy. First you will cut your water colour paper to its desired size. Then you will take your hot glue gun and randomly drop some lines or spots or what ever your heart desires. While the glue is still hot you will sprinkle embossing powder on top (I used gold) using a heat tool heat it up enough to melt the embossing powder. If you like you can repeat the last step to make sure the glue is completely covered in which ever colour you have chosen. Now you will spray a little water on the water colour paper and then next using a watercolour brush or a paintbrush you will drop reinker around the hot glue, moving it around with your brush until you get the desired effect. On this card I double matted the watercolour paper and then added it to my card.
