Tea-riffic day- June Design team Challenge

Hello Crafty friends, I have a fun Design Team challenge card today. This months challenge is “Borders, Borders, Borders” and we were to make cards that highlight at least one of Karen Burnistons Borders diesets. She has quiet a few to chose from but I decided to see how creative I could get using just one. This is what I came up with…

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

Time for Tea

Even though sneak peek was last week I have another card to share. This is actually the first card I made using the new release. I just had to make a tea card because I’m a tea gal.

Tea-riffic Day

Today’s the day, it’s Karen Burniston’s new release sneak peek, and it is such a fun release. I’m a tea drinker so I was really happy to see the borders and pop up.

I thought it would be so cute if I used pieces from the Tea and Coffee Borders, the Tea and Coffee Pop up, and Lorna Label to make this cute little girls Tea Party.

Time for Tea- Thinking of you card

Are you a coffee or tea person? I’m a tea gal, in real life I would lose my mind if I found out that mice were playing in my tea cups, but I think they are super cute on paper. I used Craft Roulette parameters to make this card.

I have my flaps on the inside, they give a little extra room for writing a message. I’m not sure why but I often choose these colours when making winter scenes, it makes me think of icy cold. Children’s story had me stumped for a bit, for some reason the nursery rhyme “Three Blind Mice” got stuck in my head. Aren’t nursery rhymes short children’s stories? And last but not least “tiles” I have embossed tiles as the background for both the front and the inside. And of course my personal challenge of making it a pop up card.

Happy Birthday Sis

*This is my first card after the holidays, I tend to take a bit of time off the blog during the holidays as I do work retail and the holidays can be quite a busy time for me.

This is the card I made for my sister this past November. I really wanted to make her something special, as we don’t get to see each other very often. So I thought I would make her a card showing some of the things we’ve done together the last few times we’ve been together. The card includes Salted Caramel Martinis, Blueberry tea, Wine, (are you seeing a theme here 🍸☕️🥂, hanging at the beach and ….. she loves plants 🌱 and gives me cuttings that I generally kill ☠️. I also made sure to use a pretty colour combo and some bling.
