I had SOOO much fun with this one, Karen’s Design Team challenge this month was “Thirst Quencher”, we needed to make a card that incorporated a beverage any beverage and since I’ve done quite a few tea cards these last couple months so I decided to make a cocktail card.

I have been looking for a reason to make a travel card and I thought this weeks Craft Roulette Card would be a good time. Karen Burniston made a Traveling Birthday Card a while back and I decide to make a card just to cheer up its recipients. Like the past few Craft Roulette challenges I also challenged myself to use a mechanism I haven’t used in a while and a die set I haven’t used before. Here are this weeks parameters…..
And this is how I met the parameters. It is an A2 sized card (which was a little hard for me as I usually make large cards), strawberry and chocolate ice cream colours. Who doesn’t love tasty ice cream, donuts or popcycles. And the squares are a hung banner. The Upsy Daisy Pop Up is a set I haven’t used in a while and the Sweet Treats Charms is the set that I haven’t used before.

So I’ve been trying to get this post done but I’ve been having some technical difficulties but here I am with this past weeks Craft Roulette challenge. When I decided what I was going to do I was pretty excited. I was looking for a reason to use the new Tea and Coffee pop up set with the Coffee Cup Pop up mechanism and this was it. Here are this weeks parameters.
How I met the parameters…. I have a heart on the “Happy Mothers Day” on the front, and on the inside beside “Love you”. I was stuck on vintage colours so I went through my paper stash to see if something jumped out at me and this paper did for several reasons. It has a vintage vibe with the pattern, but it also has a lace pattern right on it which takes care of the “lace on the base”. AND ITS ORANGE AND PURPLE, if you play Craft Roulette you will get the reference. The flowers are for the “plant” element.

I had so much fun making this card. And I love how my little circle flowers turned out. This card was inspired by Craft Roulette and I know that I never would have come up with this card otherwise. Even before I watched the episode I told myself I was going to either use a mechanism I haven’t used in a while or I would use a set that I haven’t used before. With this card I actually did both. Here are the parameters
Now I think I was pretty clever with how I used an envelope, I actually cut one in half and made it a gift card holder under the bottom flap. I think the bright colours would be perfect for a party. I have 2 crowns, one on the “P” on the front of the card, and one on the princess that is inside the card. The 3 strips of paper were used to makes the verticle belly ban. Green cardstock, green patterned paper, and flower the paper. So for my personal challenge I used the Slim Flaps and Frames and the Mini Pops for the mechanisms I haven’t used in a while, and the Word set 5- Royalty for the die set I’ve never used before.

I’m back with another fun Craft Roulette Card. I actually had to dig out a stamp for this one. These are the parameters…
And this is how I met the parameters… It is a “Thinking of You” card, I think pastels are pretty fairy tale colours. Garden gnomes have ears and can hear. And I stamped the mandala on the background of the front.
