Birthday Flamingos and Balloons

Hello, hello, today I am sharing a card I made for last weeks Craft Roulette, here are the parameters….

… and this is how I met the perimeters. This is a card for someone special, my granddaughter. The fruit colours are blueberry, strawberry, pink grapefruit, and lime. I stretched it a bit with the critters by using flamingoes but they are special to my granddaughter. I used water colour pencils to add all the shading.

Succulent Mug Birthday

I know i’ve said it before, but I always love how my Craft Roulette cards come out. I have another card that never would’ve been if I hadn’t been playing Craft on Friday.

This is how I met the parameters, it is a birthday card. So that one was super easy. Succulent colours are the greens and the sky blue, the pink and yellow are from the blooms that some succulents will have. Waves are in the pattern paper. And the butterflies move in a waving motion when you open and close the card. And my mug is front and center.

Sand Toys on the Beach

At first I wasn’t sure what I was going to do for this month’s Karen Burniston design team challenge. Karens challenge to us is “Lake or Ocean”. Well as some of you know I grew up in a town that is on the shores of Lake Huron, so I knew I wanted to lean towards lake. I also knew I wanted to do something a little different than what I’ve previously done, or else would it really be a challenge 🤷🏻‍♀️ So I thought for a bit, what else can you do at the beach and then it hit me… play with sand toys. And this is what I came up with.

Rainbow of Butterflies

It seems likes it’s been forever since I’ve played Craft Roulette and I soooo enjoyed making this card. This weeks parameters weren’t too hard and I had fun adding butterflies to butterflies to make this explosion of colour. Here are this week’s parameters.

Here is how I met the parameters… Book Binding Card is a style of card where the side fold looks like it’s binded. Candy colours were easy, these bright colours could be jelly beans or gummy candies. My little frog rhymes with “ogg” and Happy Birthday is the letters.

More than the Moon Valentine

Happy Valentine’s Day, today I’m sharing a set of Valentine’s Day cards that I made for my granddaughters. Even though I made the same cards, I made them slightly different. Each one uses a different patterned paper, and the face in the window resembles each girl. The message is something that we say to each other and holds a special place in my heart.
