Happy New year!!!!!!! I’m sorry I have been away, I generally take a little break around Christmas as my day job is retail so life is usually really hectic around the holidays. But I am back with a very Sparkly Birthday card. Not only is this my first card of the new year it is also the first Crazy4Challenges challenge of the year, this first challenge is to try something new on your project, either a new-to-you product or technique. I decided to make a card using the Karen Burniston “Gift Pivot Panel” die set. It is a die set that I haven’t used before and I have never made a pivot panel card before. This is what I came up with.

I just love magic cards, they are so fun and they have such a fun surprise when you open the card, so when I saw the version of a Magic Card using the Parcel Pop up mechanism I knew I just had to give it a try. The size shape and mechanism for this card are all from Karen’s video tutorial (link will be below) I thought the ornaments would be a fun image to use so I chose my stamps and paper colours and away I went.
The magic is in the motion so to see a video of this card in motion please check out my Facebook page, also feel free to join if you would like to share your own creations.
I have a really special card today, this is a card that I made for my sister. Now, my sister has been receiving cards from me for years now, and it’s hard to come up with unique cards especially when your sending it to someone who means so much to you. Last year I sent her a pretty over the top card (see it HERE) so the presser was on to come up with something really special, but I tried. and this is what I came up with…….
its a card that is fabulous on the outside…
and fabulous on the inside, just like my sis, Love you Sis

I finally got my Christmas cards done (yay me 50 of them) so I finally get to play with this fun Photo Collage Pop up die set (early Christmas present 🙂 I also had to make a card for this week’s Crazy4Challenges challenge. This week’s challenge was to use my favourite Christmas stamp set and or Christmas die set to create a Christmas card. Hhmmmm a favorite was so hard to pick. I have always loved snowflake stamps and over the last 13ish years I have accumulated a few so I picked out one that was a little larger than the rest and went with it, and I also thought snowflakes would work well on the pop-up mechanism, so this is the card I came up with.

Here we go, rolling into week 2 of Hosting the Crazy4Challenges challenge blog. I love texture, sometimes it’s nice to have a card that you just want to touch, and sometimes it just adds that extra little touch, so this weeks challenge is to add texture to your card.

Happy November, and welcome to the weekend. With the weekend comes a new Crazy4Challenges challenge and I am excited to say that I am the host for November. One of the benefits of being the host is that I get to choose the challenges : ) According to the days of the year calendar November 3rd is CANDY Day, what fun, so this weeks challenge is to have a candy themed card……. and this is what I came up with.
Welcome to the weekend, and another Crazy4Challenges challenge. this weeks challenge was to focus on the Sentiment, to make the sentiment the star of the card. I had to think a bit on this one, but then it came to me when a friend asked me to make a Birthday card for her son. I know him a little and I know that he fairly recently got a tattoo of the “HA HA HA” Joker themed tattoo. We gave him a bit of a hard time about the tattoo so I thought he would get a kick out of a Joker themed card using the same kind of look as the tattoo.
I have to say this card was actually a little frustrating to make at first, as everything I was trying to do was not turning out like I had planned, so I kept putting my mistakes aside and trying again or moving on, but in the end I ended using all the mistake pieces, some extra pieces, I changed ideas as I went, and the card turned out way better for it than I thought it would.

sorry it’s been awhile, I haven’t had much chance to play in my my craft room, but I did tonight 🙂 and this is what I came up with. I have had this Coffee cup pop up die set since the spring, and I have used it a couple of times but never as it was originally intended, lol so I thought that I would give it a try. It turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself.
I am so excited to be sharing this card, I never thought I would have the opportunity to make a Harry Potter wedding card, so when the opportunity came up I decided that this should be a very special card. It took a lot of planning, and a lot of tweaking, but I was determined to find a way to make this big castle fold into a card. It turned out much better than expected and I am pleased to share how I did it with you.
