Faux Water Colour and Gold Christmas

I know it’s a bit early for Christmas cards but…. Every year I tend to not have enough, so I’m starting early this year. I found this beautiful pack of paper that looks like water colour painting or alcohol ink. I don’t know why but I really wanted to make a Christmas cards out of it.

Have a Slice

Wow, where did the summer go, I can’t believe it is already time for the September Karen Burniston design team challenge. This months challenge is “Letters” so I decided to use the Mini Alphabet & Numbers to diecut the message on the front. This is also a birthday card for my horror movie loving brother….. can you tell who the slasher is. This is my third year of making horror themed birthday cards for him, the first year was Jason, and the second was Freddie, and here is Michael….

Good luck in Grade 1-August design team challenge

Hello crafty friends, today is design team challenge day and this months challenge was to make a bottom fold card. At first I was a little stumped and then I remembered a card that Karen made a few years ago (Red Christmas card) and thought that this technique would be perfect to make a box of crayons and have the crayons slide out of the box. This is what I came up with…..

I cheated a bit as it is also a gate fold card with a bottom fold that activated the mechanism. I also made a lot of mistakes and had some tech problems along the way with this one and had to change things on the fly, I will explain as I go along.

Pivot Panel Twist Panel Mothers Day

Hello and happy belated Mother’s Day. Even though I had this card completed a few weeks ago, I needed to wait until the recipient received her card. My colour pallet was chosen from this fun patterned paper from my stash.
