Mandala and Flowers- Thinking of you

I’m back with another fun Craft Roulette Card. I actually had to dig out a stamp for this one. These are the parameters…

And this is how I met the parameters… It is a “Thinking of You” card, I think pastels are pretty fairy tale colours. Garden gnomes have ears and can hear. And I stamped the mandala on the background of the front.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

So it has been a while since I’ve got to play with my stamps, I actually had to find where they were packed and dig out a few.

1A- I used this large Mandala background stamp (retired Stampin Up) and I stamped it on to white cardstock. I inked up the different sections with different coloured inks. I used my Stamping Platform to line the stamp up so could get perfect alignment.

B- I wanted some shimmer so I stamped a a layer of Pearlescent Embossing paste on top. In retrospect I would have used something different. It took a few minutes to clean up the stamp when I was done.

2A- cut the card base and panel as shown.

B- using the large rectangle (not crosshatch) from the Crosshatch Rectangle and Labels cut out the Mandala panel

C- layer the pieces as shown.

3A- I ripped a piece of vellum as shown.

B- add it to the front of the card as shown. I added the glue where I knew the flowers would cover so the glue isnt visible through the vellum.

C- I added flowers from my of precut stash (I will list them at the end of the post)

D- I diecut thinking of you from Word set 1 Greetings from 2 shades of pink, layered them together and added to the card front.

I have to thank Sandy Diller for her inspiration for the inside

4A- I cut out the mechanism for the Little Twist Label (Karen has a video tutorial on the product page at the link ⬆️) and gave it a little trim.

B- I forgot to take measurements but I put down 2 white strips approximately 6 3/4” x 4” and added it to the inside on both sides coming up from the the middle. Add the mechanism over these panels then I cut 2 panels to fit so it covers where the mechanism is attached. I started adding leaves.

C- I added more flowers from my stash and a few Tiny Gnomes. I cut 2 strips of each pink to 7” x 1/4”, layered them and added as shown.

D- I layered 2 Labels Crosshatch and added some flowers as shown.

5- I added itty bitty gems randomly around the card.
