Fancy Heart Accordion Valentine.

Today I’m sharing a card the uses the new Heart Add on with the Fancy Label Accordion. I really like making black and white cards with a pop of colour, and since it is a Valentine’s Day card I thought red would be the perfect pop.

I went digging through my paper and found this fun black and white pattern paper (I think it’s an Creative Memories pack)

1A- I diecut 4 Fancy Accordion Label panels from the patterned paper. (Karen has a video tutorial on the product page at the link ⬆️ )

B- Cut 4 Fancy Label Accordion panels from white cardstock.

C- I cut the centers out of the patterned panels and trimmed 1/8” around the outsides and added them to the white panels as shown.

In the paper pack there was a white paper patterned that was the opposite of the black paper.

2A- I adhered the white patterned paper to a piece of black cardstock.

B- using the Heart Add on set diecut the white piece and fold as shown.

C- adhere 2 of the panels from step 1C and trim off half of the middle sections as shown.

D- add the heart section as show.

3A- using the Fancy Label accordion die cut out the centres from the white patterned paper. Add them to the 2 other panels from 1C

B- add these panels to the left and the right of the centre section.

4A- I cut out several hearts from the Heart Add on set from black, white and red cardstock.

B- I cut out black and white labels from the Fancy Label Accordion, Happy Valentines Day, Valentines Day Shadow, and the XOXO from Word set 9 Love

C- add the Hearts as shown. I added shading with a Versa Mark Marker, and highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen

5A- these are the panels from step 1A, the centers that were cut out will be used now.

B- I die cut a large heart from Hearts Crosshatch and added it and some of the other hearts to a black label.

C- add the heart panel to the front of the card.

6- add the “Happy Valentines” , the black and white panels and the XOXO, as shown. I also added some random gems stones around, some of them I coloured red with a red sharpie.
