Gold and Green Christmas Tree Sneak peek

I’ve got one more sneak peak and I think this is a fun twist on the new

Heart Add on dieset, I flipped it upside down and made the hearts into Christmas trees.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

1A- die cut 4 Fancy Label Accordion panels.

B- I cut 4 Fancy Label Accordion panels from 2 different coordinating pattern papers. I cut out the centres and trimmed about 1/8” of all four sides on all of them.

C- I alternated the patterned papers and added to the accordion panels, trim the 2 middle panels as shown

2A- Diecut the Hearts Add on from the same green we were using for the base, and gold. I also all the hearts from this dieset 6 times.

B- I sponged Versa Mark ink around all the hearts and assembled as shown. I hand cut little tree trunks from brown cardstock.

C – I used gold thread, micro beads, sequins and gems and decorated each tree a little different. I cut out the heart section from the gold panel and added it to the green, then I added the trees.

D- attach the 2 center panels together then add the Heart Add on piece (Karen will have a video tutorial on the product page at the link ⬆️ )

3- to fancy it up a bit I made swirls with the gold thread and glued to the top right and bottom left, I also added some of embellishments that I used to decorate the trees.

My bad, I thought I took more photos but I can explain with the images below.

4- using Vanilla and gold cardstock I layered labels from the Fancy Accordion set, they went on the front, the inside left and the inside right. I hand cut presents from the same green, vanilla, brown, and the coordinating pattered paper. I used bows from multiple sets but mostly from the Gift Pivot Panel, and added gifts on the front and under all the trees on the inside panels. The greetings are from Word Set 3 Holidays

  1. Wow, Nicky, this is awesome. You were so creative with the trees. I love the color of your card. In the Stampin’ Up! world, it’s called either Lemon Lime Twist or Granny Apple Green. Thank you for entering it at Creative Creases.

  2. Wonderful fun fold holiday card! Love how you used the hearts as trees because my family isn’t into hearts. That gives heart dies another use besides 3 leaf clovers. Your recipient will love displaying this during the holiday season. Thank you for playing with the Creative Creases Challenge, and I hope you can join us again soon. We really appreciate your support!
