Happy Birthday Shacker Card – Sketch Challenge C4C484

Hello, it’s Saturday so today I have another Crazy4Challenges challenge. This week is a sketch challenge ( for those of you who may not know a sketch challenge is when the team is given a sketch and we have to use the sketch as inspiration to make the card), I also decided to challenge myself by choosing a colour palette that is a little outside my comfort zone. The orange colour is called Tangerine Tango and before this card, I have never used it, it came in mix packs of cardstock and it was accumulating in my drawer so I thought I would give it a go once I found the bright striped paper I was going to use.

Pink Polka dot-Thanks so Much

I’ve got another easy one today, this card shows how you can create a little bit of interest to your card by just altering the patterned paper by cutting it into strips and offsetting the pieces. It’ s a fun way to change things up a little bit but still using a minimum of supplies.

Pull out Flower Pot Mothers Day Card. C4C483

This is week two of my Crazy 4 Challenges challenge. I was originally asked to be a guest designer for the month of May, but I have recently been asked to join their design team permanently 🙂 I am really looking forward to being part of this very creative group of women, and the challenge posts will be posted every Saturday.

This weeks challenge was to make a Mother’s Day card with Flowers. I was thinking back to flower cards that I have made in the past and I came across a style that was popular a few years back where the flowers pull out from the flower pot, revealing the greeting (Pic at bottom of post). They were fairly easy to make but if your measurements were slightly off then the flower pot would be crooked, I thought that I would try using the Woven Basket Pop up die set from Karen Burniston and I am happy to say it turned out better than expected.
