Birds of a Feather-Father’s Day Card

It’s still sneak peek week, and I made this card for my sons Father’s Day Card. My cards to my family are infamously late so even though Father’s Day was last week my son only got his card on Monday 😂 I am using the new Tree Add on and Fancy solid Frame

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

I cut out 4 Fancy Label Accordion panels and enough of the Fancy Solid Frame from wood grain paper to cover the front and the back of all 4 panels. Add the frames to the front, but when adding to the back don’t add them to the sections where the cards connect to each other. Connect the 2 middle sections and cut as shown. (Karen will have a video tutorial on the product page at the link ⬆️ )

Cut out a Tree Add on from blue and 1/2 of a green. I also cut out 3 Fancy Labels from blue and 1/2 of green (only 2 shown the 3rd will go on the front). I used the Long Nature Edges to cut the green pieces. Cut out and assemble 6 trees (4 shown) I added shading with a Versa Mark Marker, and highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen. I used Versa Mark ink to add shading around the edges of the frames.

Add the frames to the card base, starting with the middle. Connect all 4 panels panels together. Now add the solid frames to the backside of the card, then connect the middle sections.

Die cut the clouds and the birds using the Outdoor Scene set, and the tree from the Tiny Trees. I cut 4 birds in different sizes, they represent my son and his 3 children. I also added the 2 extra small trees in the space behind the other trees. Add the last label to the front and add Happy Father’s Day cut from wood grain paper.
