Take the Shot

So many fun new dies, I wasn’t sure where to start. But when I saw the new Game Charms charms, with the 8 Ball I knew I wanted to make a pool table with all the balls. I thought using the Photo Collage Pop up would give the impression of the balls breaking.

All the fun is in the reveal, to see this card in action please check out my FACEBOOK page, feel free to join if you would like to share your own crafty creations. You can also see a video of this card on my INSTAGRAM page.

I couldn’t think of a quote so I googled golf quotes and I found this. Technically it is a hockey quote from Wayne Gretzky but I thought it would still work.

1a- I die cut all the numbers and letters from black and white using the Mini Alphabet and numbers die set. I like to sort them empty ice cube trays.

B- I also like to write out the quotes, especially if it’s a long one, and add the letters as I go. That way I am sure I have them all done before having to glue them down. I have white letters on black shadows.

C- I added black numbers on to white ball centres.

2a- I diecut all the balls from coloured and white card stock. For the cards that are going to be striped I cut them from the colours and the white. I used the black piece shown to mark where I will cut the pieces of the colours to make the stripes, I wanted them all same size.

B- I assembled the balls as shown. I made duplicates of some so I would have enough for the front and the inside.

C- I used a sponge dauber and grey ink to add shading to the lower left and upper right sides.

D- I used a white pen to add highlights as shown. I find the shading and highlights help the balls like more spherical.

3a- diecut the mechanism pieces from the Photo Collage Pop up,

B-I cut the card base from Brown cardstock, dimensions below. And 4 green panels.

C- I added the panels to the front, back, and inside of the cards.

4- I added the words to the front and the inside as shown.

5a- add the mechanism and balls to the inside. I just hand drew and cut the stick

B- I added the balls to the front.
