Merry Everything

this is a crazy time of year for me, I am in the middle of trying to make 50 Christmas for family and friends, I’m hosting Novembers Crazy4Challenges and I work retail, so today’s card is a card form box of previous made card. I made it pre blog so I don’t have any photos of making it, but I will do my best to explain the details as best as I can.

I made this card when I was a Stampin’ Up demonstrator so all the of the supplies are from Stampin Up

First I cut 2 pieces of Whisper White cardstock to 5 1/4″ x 4″, put one aside for now. Using a 1 3/8″ circle punch, I punched a moon shape out of post it note and stuck it on the White cardstock. Using a brayer I rolled out Marina Mist ink along the bottom of the White cardstock, and then Night of Navy ink from the top down to the middle, and then Night of Navy ink from the top and blending it in with the previous inks. Peel off the “moon” mask and set aside for now.

Take the second piece of the White cardstock and using the house edge die cut out a section that is low to the bottom of the card but is the whole width of the card. Stamp the Christmas greeting with Night of Navy ink to the right of the houses. Keep both pieces.

Using the Shiny Silver cardstock and the tree edge die cut out a section that will fit the gap beside the houses, when laid out on the card, (the silver cardstock is more expensive, this is why I used less.) Carefully line up the silver and the white pieces and adhere them to the brayered piece of paper. Using the Santa and reindeer stamp and Night of Navy Ink and stamp Santa flying over the trees.

Using a liquid glue, I carefully added dots to the sky and then sprinkled silver glitter to create stars.

Add the finished card front to a Night of Navy cardbase which is cardstock cut to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored @ 4 1/4″

Take the other half of the white cardstock, the half that the houses were cut out of, and stamp the message on the inside with Night of Navy ink. Then and adhere it to the inside of the card.
