Today I have a couple of fun basketball themed thank you cards 😀. The colours of the words were chosen as they are the colours of the team’s uniforms.

So my bad, I gave these cards away and I forgot to measure the size of the circles I used 🙄 (in my defence in my stash I have multiple circles in many many sizes) but really size doesn’t matter you just need nesting circles in at least 2 different large circles.
The card base is made up of 2 large black circle die cuts, cut out of Basic Black card stock, the piece that was cut for the back of the card I scored a line about 1/4″ from the top, I added adhesive to the little space between the top of the circle and the scoreline and attached the other black circle on top of that and made sure they lined up exactly. I adhered a smaller white circle to the inside for a place to write a message
To make the basketball 🏀 I cut a circle out of Pumpkin Pie cardstock a little smaller than the black circles, then I sponged Pumpkin Pie ink to the sides of the circles, darker on the outside getting lighter going in, it gives the circle dimension so it looks more like a ball. Next, I ran the circle through my big shot with a dotted embossing folder, I found the dots to be a little too big so I ran it through my big shot with just the cutting plates and a rubber mat, to help flatten them a little bit.
To make the lines on the basketball, I used two circles dies and black cardstock. I cut the larger one first, then lined up and cut the smaller one making sure to keep it as evenly spaced a possible. Then once I knew the depth of the 1/2 circles I cut the strip that went down the middle. I adhered and trimmed the stripes as needed.
“Thank You Coach” was cut out of Whisper White, and Pacific Point cardstock using dies that I purchased second hand. I adhered them to the card front using Stampin dimensional.
